I know its a low rider by the vin. I was wondering if there were differences in fork legs or shocks.

how could I tell if mine has the low suspension? I'm guessing I could measure my shock length.

I let it settle with the bolts loose every time since the first time. The carb contact was the problem. I clearance the stabilizer arm a bit, and the bike is good as new. Thank you all for your help and suggestions! mYy8Nt8.jpg

I've been curious about that one. I've seen just about every mount available on the internet since this started. My issue is the difference between the old one and both of the new ones is the height. My old mount is 1/8" shorter than the new ones. That difference is enough to rotate the engine...

so here I sit, watching a movie on hallmark thinking about this damn bike when it occurred to me. I'd been lifting the engine to fit the mount in and out with a jack, but didn't have quite enough clearance. I'd assumed the intake was bumping on the frame/stabilizer point. I ran out to the garage...

That makes sense to me.

The bike has about 29000 miles on it. EV27 cam, hsr42 and a supertrapp. I suspected the difference in height of the old and new mounts could be the cause but I don't think so. There must be something else wrong with the bike. I don't get how the old cracked up rubber mount could keep the bike so...
