Wheel Bearing Choices

Anyone using other than Harley wheel bearings, specifically in a FXR if it matters.
I just got a set of rims powder coated and going to swap them on but need new bearings etc. before I pick some up at the local Harley thought I’d see if there are better options. Sealed non, non sealed, etc

Bearings being important I’m not looking to skimp and just get the cheapest out by any means but if factory Harley ones are dated vs other options I’d like to hear about them.

Go to local bearing shop, auto supply, or order online and get two Timken SET2s for each wheel. It includes bearing and race. Make sure you set up your spacers correctly when going back together.

Thanks. I was more looking for experience with keeping with Timken tapered bearings or converting to the sealed bearings, but a local shop steered me away from the sealed kits due to issues they have seen with them not lasting and limited supply from makers. So I just got another set of OE bearings.

In my opinion, sealed bearings are part of the, "I don't want to maintain it, just gas 'n' ride, throw it away" generations. You made the right choice.
