Read what you can find in the Waco local news, national entertainment news has abandoned the story.
Here, maybe a little biased, is how events played out from many clubers views.

Edit - pay particular attention to paragraph 3 of that article.
Some 177 people detained with 1million bond and not one conviction of any kind. Kinda smells bad doesn’t it?

McLennan county will be no more after the civil suits are settled.
This still needs to be investigated as to why 177 were held on $1,000,000 bail just to get them to roll and start the criminal conspiracy charges flooding the courts.
This still sickens me that it could occur in the so called free state.

This from Waco Tribune:

For Houston attorney Paul Looney, Tuesday was a “very emotional day.” He said he feels relieved because he sometimes felt that defense attorneys for the bikers were the only ones standing between them and a flawed system Looney says took away their lives, their liberties, their families and, in many cases, their livelihoods.

Looney represented six Twin Peaks defendants over the years, including Marcus Pilkington, a Bandido from Mexia whose Twin Peaks case is set to be dismissed but who is in prison on unrelated charges.

“The decision that was announced today was inevitable,” Looney said. “The case has been dead for well over a year. It was killed by (former prosecutor) Michael Jarrett and Abel Reyna because they distorted evidence, they hid evidence, they falsified evidence, they lied to judges, they lied to the press, they lied to jurors. They destroyed this case a long time ago. They were kind of like a chicken that had its neck wrung. They run around the yard for a bit, but eventually they fall over dead. That is what happened here. All the current prosecutor did today was announce the inevitable.”
end of Waco Trib quote

Little doubt some of the defendants were not chamber of commerce model citizens. Little doubt Waco and McClennan County will learn that is no excuse to violate their civil rights.

Surely some bad actors in this bunch, but this charade has stunk badly from the start - and not all the bad actors were bikers.

Somewhere online I saw autopsy reports. They're incomplete - lacking detail on gun powder residue and calibers which should be there -- but a lot of downward angles on wounds, and police saying they only fired 12 rounds...

Imagine if you'd been riding along, saw the bikes and figured you'd stop to get a good meal. Scary stuff indeed.
