IMO, the best to ever bend a string:

As someone who dabbles in playing guitar, SRV always makes me wish I was just a little bit better. Actually, I wish I was a LOT better but a little better is an attainable goal. Loud, soft, fast, slow... it seems Mr Vaughn could do it all. I have heard the nay-sayer claiming that SRV was a Hendrix rip-off. But to my ears, he is much more pleasing than Hendrix.

I always had some Jeff Beck in the glovie of the '66 SS when I was a kid and that's a good one Filt.

SRV is the balls and I can listen to him anytime.

Kickman - that one took me a little to get into but then...
I think I'll play that when I'm outside doing a burn pile at night, this summer. That's good drinking' music and my neighbors will probably freak a little.

The best way to listen to this one is with the lyrics, because it moves along pretty fast, but I couldn't find that version. If you use Shazam you can pull the lyrics up on your phone.

Enjoy!

I would have bet good money that Choctaw Bingo was a Ray Wylie Hubbard song. Good thing I looked it up before claiming to know that it was.

Speaking of Hubbard,,, (I feel like uncle Slayton from Choctaw Bingo might look similar to Ray Wylie)

You're correct. I just like McMurty's version better.
