M8 check engine light

I recently went out and got an '18 streetglide special, love the new bike. I performed the 1st fluid changes at the 1k mark. A few days later (yesterday) I installed a set of 12 " LA choppers handlebars.
Upon starting the bike today I noticed the check engine stayed on. The bike idles and rides just fine. I did not cut any wires or take the pins out of the connectors , just re taped the harnesses and fed them through the bars with the help of a friend, everything went smooth with the project.

The codes that came up were: P2122
, p2127 , p2138
I called my dealer and they said twist grip sensor. I did not disconnect the battery when I started the project, could this have caused the light to come on? Is the bike safe to ride? Or did something get damaged during install..

Clear the codes and ride the scooter. If the codes return, then something most likely got fudge packed with the wires to the sensor. You'll have to pull it back apart and have a look.

...can I ask, how you clear and read these codes? (recommended diag tool etc)

just had the engine light come on following the bikes second journey out and i've got to run it back to the dealer today. They are suggesting its a O2 sensor being tripped due to the stage 1 (this was an over-the-phone diagnosis)

But this is gonna drive me nuts if this becomes a regular thing

TIA

Here's a little video from a dealer shop.

Near the end he admits that they tampered with the scooter by putting a fuel pak on it. Guess its out of warranty now......

cheers Thermo!

took the bike back and they cleared the O2 error. Suggested that it was possibly caused by labouring the bike and because of the Stage 1 on it etc (no surprise as she finds her way with this new fangled Harley, after a bit of a time out from two wheels)

Unfortunately I had only rode it about a mile when it came back on! and I wasn't labouring

now booked in to have the sensor replaced (or a possible remap)

*found Street Bob DTC access instructions on another forum and its showing P0151h
