He had a good run. Was not a big of his products or design but he was a player in the market.

Orangutan wants to know Dino or Syn?
Arlen left his mark in the motorcycle world. I visited his old shop once and got the tour of the old bikes upstairs. Was a fun experience. R.I.P. Arlen.

Kickman wants to know Dino or Syn?
Ya, this effected me alittle. If it wasn't for Arlen, and his influence and inspiration to the motorcycle community, Im here to tell you, my life would have been different. I have one of his early frames, some place, and a bunch of engraved parts from his friend Rudy Pena.

I see his parts in the shop every day, I even restored a luxury liner about almost 10 years ago..

I resealed the engine cases, rebuilt the front fork, rear fork bearings, relaced and trued the wheels, new clutch pack and hydraulic master cylinder rebuild. Had the original paint cut and buffed.
I think there was also some electrical issue I had to chase down.

Riding a true Arlen Build, is something else like no other...

Hes a was a local, and a friend. It definitely sucks..

Arlen was a game changing difference maker. I remember the transition on EZ Rider magazine which for the longest time featured backyard, garage mechanics. And then came Ness.

What as the nickname for Ness's crew? Hamsters?

I thought the Hamsters were Dave Perewitz's group.

Dave was a local I think, but I cant remember if thats a fact, I thought he was from San Leandro till he went to Wisconsin or Minnesota was it? I know its someplace with snow... but he still is, ad far as I know. Lot of people have scattered over the last 15 years, and I just don't keep track of who's who much anymore..

Cant remember why I think that even, but I know him an Arlen we close closr friends..
