How To: V-Rod Oil and Filter Change (as per official service manual) - video

Hey everyone,

First post here. Just wanted to add something of value. I just changed the oil on my 2006 VRSCD Night Rod. I picked up a copy of the official service manual (used to work for Harley Canada, still have some friends in low places , and checked the internet for how-to videos. Realized the ones on the net weren't really in line with the service manual so I decided to make my own, here:

Nice 👍🏼 Thanks! Could you also post the video re: changing the headlight out for the upgraded LED/ Daymaker type? I’ve been wanting to do that to my 07 VRSCX for a while now...Thanks again 🍻

You're just saying that because it's true.

Sent from here to there.

Yeah, he has been posting this all over the internet. He thinks he is the new V-ROD specialist just because he just bought one. As far as doing it by the book like he claims, the V-ROD does not use a sealing washer on the drain bolt even though he says to make sure you don't loose it. lol

The oil level is also suppose to be checked with the oil at operating temperature, which can vary up to 1/2 quart from cold to operating temp. You do not just fill, start, wait a minute and then check.
