Finally got some sun to roll it out. Felt like monsoon season in NY this week. It's pretty dingy lighting in the shop.

Building new exhaust pipes next week for the bike. Few questions from those with knowledge on this. I'm planning on bringing the rear pipe forward down and around the ignition cover then straight back along the top of the front pipe as they head to the rear. The pipes will be closer to equal length this wayThe motor seems to really run best with mid length open drags. My question is at the bottom front was considering stepping them to 2" from 1 3/4". Would this be of any benefit other than tone? Staying two into two. I know some of you guys have vast understanding of exhaust design. Thanks in advance

Exhaust system is almost done. Had another thread going but back here now. Still have to make rear mount sand and paint. Should sound good, haven't fired have some more to finish before that. Love the look of it. Not sure weather to paint it black or silver yet. Leaning toward silver. I used the pics with the tail down on the other thread so I only have a few with the tail up. Can't post pics twice aparently

I like the pipe too. The silver does look good, maybe make the pipe black with photoshop and compare the two colors.

Getting to some odds and ends. New bars much taller and wider old school springer bars worked out to be the perfect width to give clear view of dash. Ditched the machined aluminum grips for some rubberized ones. Bars bring my hands in just a tad as well. Now that this bike is more of a bagger then a curve burner I opted for a more upright comfortable seating position. The weight forward lean isn't really needed anymore. Love the new comfort level. Always had it set up for aggressive riding.... Time to chill a little.

Finished the pipe and mods now the pipe has a shifter on it. Forward is wide open unbaffled. Back is full baffle for cruising. This allows me to move the torque up and down the rpm band. Quiets it down some and yeilds a better riding street bike overall. Then when it's time to fly on the juice push the lever forward to the Hells Bells mode... We opted for black on the pipe as it's size is big felt it stood out too much. Might send out for chrome over the winter. Silver paint just isn't as durable either

I have to say, while your style choices are always debatable I don't think anyone could argue the level or craftsmanship you put into it. Good job my dude. Keep it up. And if I ever get that rigid project I might ask ya to take a vacation out in CA and put in some work haha

Haha, thank you very much Jake. It's definitely too far out there to complain that not everyone is gonna love it. I get that thoroughly. I'm on a custom bagger site at times and have seen things that erk even me. Lol
P. S. You really do need to do that rigid project....
