Jake707SBFMC wants to know Dino or Syn?
Sputter Low RPM

Bike has a nasty sputter below 2k rpm. Pretty much wont let me take off hard from a stop I have to easily roll on throttle and ride the clutch out. Here’s a couple vids I sent to the tuner. His initial take is it sounds more electrical than fuel related.
Thoughts what I should be looking at?

Here’s one of a couple take offs from a stop.

Here’s one at idle stabbing the throttle in neutral.

You going to hurt that motor doing that. I would increase the idle speed jet until it disappears.

Yeh, don't do that. Each time you whack the throttle raw gas is shot into the intake... to be followed up with no air. That action also screws with the VOES.

Not running VOES. Ultima says not to with their motors

So you think it’s a jetting issue then?

yes it can hurt it in a very expensive way... I run a 35 low jet in my 113,, and my G has had the full zippers treatment... it just pulls, or pulls harder... and has no stutters, sputters or flat spots... from idle through 6500,,, any gear, any speed,,,,

another thing to check is your ignition curve. May be a symptom of full advance coming in to fast.

you will probably have to take the air fuel screw in about 1/2 turn,,, it varies from engine to engine..

Thanks guys. I’m wonder why the tuner thought it was an electrical issue before jetting. He’s solid and still interested in helping me just getting the bike to his shop an hour away is a timing issue lately.

Ok talked to the tuner again and removed the air cleaner and gave it full twists. Here are two videos of it with the accelerator pump screw all the way in like it was.

You can see some of the twists didn’t shoot much of any fuel.

And here’s a vid inside after 3.5 full turns out on the accelerator pump screw. Not much change. Let me know what you guys think next. Thanks.
