Shade Valley campground ????

Shade Valley campground…. Anyone have anything good or bad to say about the place? Love to hear all you have to say as this is where we’re looking at staying in 2010. Thinking about one of their medium cabins. They have the Da Bus service and seem to be far enough away but also close enough to the action when we want it. Thanks.

I stayed there in 08 and never again. we rented a medium cabin and it was a rip off $1680. too far from everything and you had to ride thru the worst traffic areas to get back to camp. The food vendor sucked big time as well. We thought da bus would be a great bonus but it took forever to get to and from camp on da bus. it seemed as if shade valley was the last stop each way, I kid you not one time we were almost to the campground and the bus driver got called and had to go back to the Chip area to pick someone else up.. Last year we stayed at days end in Sturgis and it was 100X's more enjoyable.

We stayed at Shade Valley in 08 also. I would not stay again simply because you have to go through Stugis to get anywhere. Cabin was just OK, but expensive for what it is. It is quiet but that's about all they have going on. We stayed over in Custer last year and loved it.
