We didn`t stay there in 07 but had some friends that did and they were very pleased can`t remeber any negatives we also had friends that stayed at spearfish city campground its far enough away that its quiet but doesn`t have the amenities that rushmore has,in 07 you didn`t have to make reservations if you were tenting just show up ton of vacancies. I may be back this year if I can talk the little woman into it look for me ill be the guy in the black HD t-shirt..youll enjoy it best rally bar none ,wherever you stay though plan on being back by dark we had a deer run across the road in front of us on our way back to rapid city I hit the horn right before I was thinking of going down and he jumped when he heard the horn,never stayed out late at night again...Tom..
Stayed there in 08 and plan to go back in 09. Good place off the highway a bit so no road noise. Owners were very nice, I think it has changed ownership though. Bar, food, small store. I have no complaints.
