We will be in cabin #10 (as little as possible) at Shade valley. Wife says they look like chicken coops.

We reserved one of the cabins back in Feb and paid thru the nose, I wish we would have waited as it looks like a lot of vacancy in the area. Dang expensive chicken Coop LOL.

Here in Ohio many chicken coops are bigger than those cabins. Stop by and say hey.

We were in#14 and did not see a #10. I would not stay there again for the money. Food sucked and it was still too far away and the "da bus" was a pain in the a$$. Showers and cans were clean and plentiful. The gal at the check in asked what I thought when I was leaving and I told her the food service sucked and she said they had already fired the food provider as they did not work out.

Cabin #10 was brand new and all the way in the back. Primitive considering the cost but way less than all the others I looked into. Our biggest 'beef' was we had to go through Sturgis traffic to get most places. The best part was it was quiet at night. Next time we will stay in the Custer area.

RT, I agree it was a pain getting back to the campground after riding because you really could not get anywhere without coming back thru sturgis and the Chip area.
Your bike looks like a bike I saw doing burn out in the bike wash area one night tell me that was not you LOL. If it was I was the guy who told you that you fried your clutch.

Nope wasn't me. The night of the storm I darn near took out a row of bikes by the camp store. Dodging a couple that stepped out in the road I hit a soft mud puddle and slid about 25 feet sideways kicking my RK up like a dirt bike. The OL got off and walked back to the cabin after that. Kind of glad she did, those roads were like riding on ice.
I guess your cabin was up by the lodge?
