Talking St. Louis to Sturgis

Went to Sturgis from St.Louis 2005,all superslab.I-70,I-29,I-90

several of us going up this year, looking for alternate route, maybe across Kansas, up thru Nebraska, and coming up through Custer, etc
or maybe come up so we end up in the Badlands

I know I could look up routes, just wanted to know if anyone has done a similar ride, what roads are like, fuel availability, etc
Just hoping to avoid the monotonity of the "I's"
Thanks

Can't give you any routes but I will advise you to do the on-line directions and edit them to reflect where you would like to travel through.

Good luck and I hope others may chime in here as well.

Nebraska hiway 2 at Grand Rapids is a good smooth scenic hiway through Nebraska. Then take 385 north through Hot Springs. Ive used this route for the last four years from KC.
ENJOY

out of KC area, you get to Grand Island how?

StL to Sturgis

I've done that ride a couple times. Get over to Topeka,KS. North out of Topeka towards Beatrice, NE. Head west to 385 and go up through the Sand Hills of NE. It's a beautiful ride up through there into Chadron, then into SD.
