See you do a lot of instant messaging... Anyway, what are you talking about "brawls" ??? AND I can't tell ya the number of times I've ridden to Sturgis and several other places "by myself". Get a few guys together to make a haul and they start dropping like flies. I usually don't rely on anybody and can't tell ya who's going 'til the first gas stop. The I turn around and see who's there.

Hit the friggen road...it's I-90 all the way across out of Chicago and there are plenty of riders you can hook up with. If you don't plan to ride straight thru (I've done it straight thru 5-6 times) plan to stay over around Chamberlin, SD. There's a quaint little motel called the I-90 Motel in WhiteLakes, SD. BUT where ever you stay get reservations NOW...even the KOA in Sioux Falls.

If you go thru life waiting on others...you loose!!

I went by myself 1styear. Decided few days before, no one to go with.

I drve straigh through from Milwaukee area. Last 3 times stopped in Sioux Falls. Then its its easy ride into Strurgis.

Just go, before you die, or you backgets so bad you can't. Nice thing by yourself, can take as man breaks as you want, and not feel guilty.

Amen on going by yourself. I've done it several times alone and actually prefer it. I really don't need someone else to have a good time. Plus, as mentioned, you can take as many breaks as you want for as long as you want. A big plus for me is that if I start on one particular route and change my mind and want to take another, I can do it. Did that a couple of years ago. Started out on I90 and got off in Minnesota and took 14 the rest of the way. Nice ride. And while on the way, as well as when you get there, you will meet people. Go For It.

If you're rolling through Sioux Falls, on the way to Sturgis and didn't make reservations, theres been plenty of campers on the lawn of the local HD dealer. J&L Harley. Come grab a spot on the yard for the night, wake up and enjoy their coffee and hit the road.

Or take no breaks, gas stops only, and not feel guilty.

As for your crew "****em" go by yourself or tag along with some other guys from your area of the state. Sturgis is to good a time to pass up. You only live once so make sure you enjoy it while you can.

Hell yeah,just do it.
I've been all the Way from here on the left coast 6 times.
4 just me and the OL, 1 with another couple,1 just solo.
Don't tell the Ol but the solo ride was the best.
