Deadwood SD do I need Res. for EO june?
About six of us are going to use Deadwood as our base for a week of riding in the area during the last week of June. Do we need to make reservations at a hotel, or is it not too busy then. We prefer to not to.
We are all too fat, and lazy to camp, need rooms with a pizza shop and beer near by.
thanks

Deadwood SD
Good luck trying to find a room. Have been looking for 2 months and all I see are rooms in Rapid City at $254 per nite!

I assume this is during Sturgis,he said in June and that shouldn't be a problem.
If not Deadwood there's plenty of other places in the Black Hills for rooms.
Lead,Keystone,Custer etc. all have lots of motels & Hotels.
I like Keystone myself better than Deadwood.
We got a nice motel room the week after Sturgis for $50 a night.

I stayed out at a friend's in Lead during the rally this year. By Wed, several of the hotels in Rapid City, Lead, and Deadwood had open rooms so I wouldn't think the end of June would be any trouble.

during june, you shouldn't have a problem with out reservations. every now and again tho, deadwood DOES host some concerts in the streets during the summer months, and those weekends are very busy. might maybe want to check ahead and go to www.deadwood.org and see if there is anything listed thru there chamber of commerce for the weekend/week your fixing on being there

We have stayed at the Ramada inn in Blackhawk the last couple of years, around a hundred bucks a night but easy entry and exit and a nice clean room, just a few miles past Rapid City.

We stayed a few nights at the All American Inn in Custer. Super nice people running the place. Walking distance to the good stuff in town. Resort across town is open for your use too with washing machines, pool, ect. Twin queen room was less than $80 a night and that was the week of.
Only reason I plug for the place... we kind of had an energency (couple of ours in the Custer Hospital) and they really bent over backwards for us.
