Horse,

Not sure if you've ever been to Hardin before but there's not a lot of "amenities" there. A couple of small casiono's and thats about it. I only stop in Hardin for gas...LOL. I'm in Seridan about 45 minutes south of there into Wyoming. The two decent hotels who cater to bikers are the Holiday Inn and The Best Western Sheridan Center. Both have good parking, decent grub etc. Just thought I'd offer you an alternative that was 45 minutes down the road.

Ride

You must be taking the scenic route, using the Interstate would only require 1 night lodging, 600 miles a day is easy to do on the Interstate.

Horse,

I'll check on both Hotels and let you know. I didn't know you were camping. There's a nice campground in Dayton Wyoming which is about 15 minutes north of me. It's about 10 minutes off the Interstate and is right along a shaded stream. Walking distance to the cafe, beer store, gas station etc. and a nice view of the Bighorn Mountains. I'll be out that way this weekend and get the details for you.

Be well,

Ride

May be looking to hook up with you. Was going to trailer with group of friends but wife now on the fence. If she doesn't go I'm riding! Itinerary to Sturgis sounds perfect. What are your plans (days-route) for the return?

Horse,

It's called The Foothills Motel and Campground in Dayton Wyoming. Exit 9 off I-90 and about 10 miles west. Ph: 307-655-2547.Stopped by and chatted with the owner. It's $19.00 a night for tent camping and if the 3 of you stay in one spot there's no extra charge. They like Harley riders..."much nicer than those Goldwing people"...LOL.
The tent spots sit right along the Tongue River in the shade and if it stays like it has been it's gonna be a hot Sturgis this year! Iron Skillet Restaraunt has good chow and is walking distance from the campsite. You could also run up the mountain to Bear Lodge for breakfast in about 30 minutes. I just got back from doing the same.
I put you down for arrival on the 4th of August. She has you penciled in under Steelhorse. It's there if you want it. I'll check on the Holiday Inn on Monday and let you know whats available there. Catch up soon.Oh yeah
www.foothillscampground.com or e-mail foothills@vcn.com Marshall and Lea Hood are the owners.

Ride,
Thanks for doing that, really appreciate it. I will pass it on and see what they say. Buddies down in San Antonio right now. Sounds like a real nice camp spot.
