What is your average wear on a rear 200??

I've got about 9400 on my 06 nighttrain's tires and just used the tire guage and it shows I'm very close on the front and in the red on the rear. Is 9k about the average for stock Dunlops?? I'm not an aggresive rider but do get on her sometimes. Thanks for the help.

I've changed out both front and rear on my '06 Softail Standard at 7,500, rear was marginal, front was still good but switched to a newer Dunlop with same tread pattern as rear. Same here, I don't ride aggressively. As expected, my dealership said my tire wear was "normal".

I got about 6k on rear Dunlops, and 9k on rear Metzlers... twice as long on the fronts

I've got 4.6K on the OEM on the XB & I'm willing to bet it won't pass NYS inspection for next year's season. I don't hammer the starts & I try not to lock it up, but I have a coupla times...
I don't ride aggressively - FAST yes, but not aggressively...
Never done any "burns" on pavement & only once did I get into it in the crusher run in my driveway...
Seems a little premature for the rear to be this worn, but what do I know...
The OEM rear on my 883C lasted 8K...
Guess I'll read the opinions in this forum to see what kinda sneak I put on the rear next spring...

9k on your 200 rear is VERY respectable, I have gotten a low as 2300 up to 4400 on a rear (Dunflops got the best) my front go 3x at least hell I haven't wore out a front yet.

Those are approximates

Thanks for all the replys

Well, I don't feel so bad now that everyone else is about right were I'm at with tire wear. Just ordered the front and rear from Zanotti motors for like $267 something for both shipped to the house. I hope these two run about 10k and I'll be happy.

I've only got 3800 on my Springer and both still look really good...so I hope to get at least 9k out of mine too.

I just changed my rear out today. 13,987 miles on it. Yeah it was pretty well gone.

7400 on my stock Dunlops and that's what I was expecting. I'm going with the sticker Avons and I'm sure they will be close to the same mileage. If you want the stick then you have to accept the wear.

I got 8k on the stock Dunlops. I also put Avons on front and rear and couldn't be happier. It could be all mental, but they feel much more stable in turns. The Avon front also doesn't seem to track every grove in the road like the stock front dunlop did.

Talking This mileage is on my 2006 Electra-Glide Standard.

I changed the rear at 13,700 something. The only reason I had to change it at this point was because I picked up a screw. My buddy has a 2005 Standard and he changed it at a little over 15,000. And they are the Dunlop 402's.

As bad a** as the wide tire bikes look,.....at approximately one dollar per millimeter to replace a tire, I am glad now that my Wide Glide only has a 140 rear tire on it. I at least have the option to run a touring tire (for longer tire life) and have been getting 15K+ out of my rear tires. I don't know if the 200mm bikes will ever have a high mileage (touring) tire option to choose from. If I were spending close to $200.00 on rear rubber, I would expect to get more than 6 - 9K miles out of them. Especially when you consider that the contact patch is not that much greater than a 130 to 150 series tire.
