You might get a better deal from an indie, if you figure on having someone else put them on. Get an "installed" price, it might suprise you.

I bought my Avons from a chain called Cycle Gear. They beat everyones price including internet. My Indy mounted them both for $80. I was happy.

I second Cycle Gear. Got my Metzelers from them. They have a $30 deal to mount the tires if you buy the tires from them. Yeah, AMT is slightly cheaper but with shipping and installation its a wash. Best thing to do is to shop around. Checkout local and internet. Make sure you factor in shipping and mounting/install costs. Good luck...

You need to show them a lower price and they will meet or beat it. At least the store I use did.

I've been supporting my local indy on tires. He is high, but if I have an
issue, he will stand behind the sale.

You want the person doing your tires to care. Done the fast and sloppy way. the rotors can be compromised and the rim can be bent. You want to make sure that the tire is put on correctly in direction and placement. Going to just anyone can be more expensive than the dealer. (Dealers can screw up, too)
