Thinking about a new tire/rim combo. I am thinking about going from dual brakes up front to single. Anyone know what i would need to accompolish this ?

Dual to single would require a different master cylinder (single disk set-up), different brake line (single caliper), and a different fork slider (w/o the caliper attachment lugs). Your new wheel would be set-up for a single disk - to reuse the old wheel you would need to remove the brake disk and purchase the appropriate spacers/wheel trim rings for a single brake disk system.

I kinda knew what needed to be done, I know about the lines and master cylinder. What slider would i use (ie from what bike)?

Your profile shows you have a 2004 FLHRCI, why not just get a machine shop to turn down the current slider? (Actually I would get (use) a spare slider and keep the original in case you decide to sell the bike - I suspect most folks would want the standard dual disk set-up.)

I aldready have chrome lower forks. I don't want to turn down a perfectly good lower leg, and then rechrome it again... Isn't there anything I can buy ? Would the fork from the heritage softail work ? It looks the same size as a road king, and does not have the tabs for the caliper..

Heritage front ends look similar to the Touring, and despite the FL usage in their names.....are different. Specfically the outside diameters at the base are different, fender mounts are different, fenders are different, wheels are different. Air pressure is interchangable.

So you want to lose some braking power?

So you are giving up safety for looks? I want more stopping power. Lots of people go for aftermarket brakes. Some people seem to think HD lacks in breaks, and you want less.
Wow.

I didn't think i asked for opinions about this setup. I wanted to know if anyone has done with with parts that you can buy. Go jump on somone else's thread who wants to change things that you do not like.. Leave mine alone...

Free country do what you like. Same token, I can say I wouldn't give up safety for something pretty. Good luck to you.
