front end noise found

well I had a rattle sound in the front end when I went over large bumps in the road. I tried all kinds of things trying to find it with no luck. I had brought my scoot in for 15,000 once over at the dealer (oil changed at home) and asked them when they test road it to listen when going over a larger bump to see if they could figure ot out. he said normal sounds and that nothing was abnormal. well dam it was driving me nuts until today when the right front fork started dumping oil out. I wound up taking the front tins around the head light off to get in where it was leaking and the front fork slider was off of the threads by 4 inchs. put it back on and put SE fork oil in, problem fixed. I guess he didn't go over a large enough bump to hear it when he test road it, 1000 miles ago. good thing I was near the house and not on a trip.

I went to the dealer today to make certain everything was in order with the front right shock and they told me to check the pinch bolt. I said ok where is it and they told me. went outside and checked it and after fumbling with it some, found out the bolt had broken in 2. cause of loose front right shock. I had my tools with me and what else I needed to fix it they gave me. Fixed there.
