I have an '03FXST, and I installed the Progressive lowering kit, this past winter. it was fairly easy. I had never had a fork apart before, and was worried I'd fu(k it up. But the fork assembly is a pretty simple design. Not too many parts there. As far as how I like it, I am happy. But. I lowered mine 1" instead of 2". On a good sized bump or pothole, the forks will bottom out. By installing the lowering springs, you lose the same amount of compression travel. I am currently looking into installing shorter fork tubes, to compensate for the drop, and give me back my stock travel. One tip for you. When you try to remove the damper bolt, the instructions tell you to use an impact gun. All that you need to do, is keep the spring in the tube, put light pressure on it, and that will hold the damper from spinning. Good luck. Anymore questions, just ask.
