Question How'd they do it ?

How did they get the 140 rear tire on the 2004 baggers?

What did they change?

Would a retrofit be possible?

You should be able to fit one by cutting out the small section of your belt guard that rubs the 140 tire. Most places that mount motorcycle tires will know about this.

Put a 140 Metz on the rear of my '02 RdGlde. no problem. Trimmed the black plastic guard a bit but I don't think that was necessary actually - just a precaution.

Was at the dealer this weekend. Looked at an '04. The rear belt and pulley is narrower.

correct, though if others have put a 140 on the rear without major mods... then ...? looking at the '04's, tire clearance is minimal, even with the narrower belt...
