Elite 3 vs 402s

Heard good things about the Elite 3's but have always used the 402's or Avons. Need tires looking for some input any thoughts?

I went from the D402's to the E3's on my 02 SE Road King. The E3's perform much better in the twisties, run quiet, and have given good service life so far (8500 miles) I will be using these in the future on this bike. FWIW.

You should like the E3's much better than the 402's. Corner like the Avons, stable straight and level like the 402's.

You might want to consider the Commander II's as well.

So far I like my first set of E-3's. They don't follow cracks, tar snakes and rain grooves like my old 402's did. Everything else seems about the same, handling-wise.

ditto on what the others have said. On my second set. Gives you confidence in the turns and doesn't track. Night and day vs stock.

Yes to ALL they said, I have just over 10K miles on a set and the rear
I have to look close to see any tread wear. Now my son he twistes his
much more than I do and I can see wear on his with 10K miles.
I will for sure replace with the same E3..And I replace early as you
cant make any money trying to get the last 100 miles out of the tire,
and you go down........tenn.vol.
