21 inch front wheel for a bagger

Got a 07 E.G. classic, Like the look of the 21 inch front wheel filling the fender. Has anyone tried this and actually rode the bike. I do a lot of long runs this is not a bar hopper . I have seen I believe it was a 3.5 inch 21 from some company so I should be able to get a decent width tire. My questions are does the fender have to be relocated or is this a tire wheel and transfer both disc to the new wheel type job. Thanks in advance for your comments

The 21" set up is a very common way to go these days. The fender does not have to be relocated it is simply loosened and there will be enough play in holes to "tip" the fender slightly and provide clearence for the tire. Worst case scenario you would have to drill the hole slight larger to allow this adjustment. The most common set up would be a 21" front with an 18" rear. Performance machine www.performancemachine.com is the leader in these set ups selling packages that include two front rotors and a front and rear wheel with tires. for around 3-4 grand. as far as the ride goes you going to have a little less to soak up the big bumps. handling wise the bike is going to turn way better then your bike does now. the reason for it is simple geometry. Bigger circle easier to turn. the ride problem is easily solved with a set of actual shocks in the reat (diss the air). if you have any more questions let me know.

Thanks, I have checked out p.m.'s site. It appears they have close to what I am looking for. No intensions of changing the rear rite yet as I have extended the bags allready. Tire is unseen. Allready got progressive 420's in the rear . That is the first mod Zi have done to the three baggers I have owned. stock shocks suck. Like I sadi, I love that look and got brand new black and chrome floating rotors on the front and rear because the second thing I do is change out stock brakes and rotors. LOL It does not appear from the litle research i have done that the actual ride will change but s much. I am looking at a 21 x 3.5 wheel with a avon am41 120 / 70 / 21 that tire is 4.74 wide and not quite 28 inches tall. the stock tire is 5.25 wide and 26.5 tall. This makes me with my shade tree engineering mind believe that as you said the cornering will be a bit different but the highway ride should not change but so much. Allready have progressives in the front also and I recon I can experiment with adding and removing fork fluid. Thanks again for the help.I owe you a beer next trip to S.C. Get around greenville and Summerville quite often
