New Progressive 940 Bagger Shocks

Has anyone tried out the new Progressive 940 Series shocks for baggers or the new Monotube dual cartridge front fork kit? Please let me know. Thanks in advance.

I was hoping someone would pipe up................They look like a great improvement over the stock set up. No more oil changing, seal leaking problems. Progressive makes a good product. I think the handling and brake dive will be better.

I am interested also.
My 2009 SG shocks lose 10 pounds on the first hard bump. Which makes them useless. And the usual song from the dealer, "that is the way they are".

I think we are talking about two different things. The air you are losing is from the rear.......correct? The monotube from Progressive is a direct replacement for the front shocks.

Yes, that is alot of cash. How long would you guess the front end will last with the monotubes? I am sure the combination would be an improvement.

The 940s are for the rear.

I will be getting both.

Is it not a concern for you guys that they lower the bike an inch? I stopped reading when I read that.

Many bikes, such as the SG and Road King Custom, come stock with HD's low profile shocks, which are an inch lower than the other touring bikes. I've never come close to bottoming out, but I'm looking for a more comfortable ride.

I did not read that. If you order them for an Ultra you will get them an inch shorter than stock? Why?

I did not read the thread correctly, my bad. The 940's are for the rear and they DO drop the rear 1 inch. They are not adjustable. Not too sure they are the hot set up for a bagger. To go from solo to tour pack, passenger and gear is a big change in sprung wait. To not have the adjustment that the 440's give or the stock air shock for that matter seems a huge trade off. The bike will either ride great solo or loaded, not so much in between. Why would you go with the 940 over the 944, just asking? I sure agree with the front monotube, has to be a great upgrade. Your thoughts?

The 940 is preload adjustable like the 440.
