Squeezed a 160 into my 94 softail

UGLY tire, but got it to fit

we put a 1-1/8" belt on last fall so that gave me some clearance, and the wheel I have has a bit more offset on the pulley side. The belt lines up slightly on the outside of the tranny pulley but still has room to track

in all honesty, I think I could get a 170 in there.

I have socket head cap screws inside the fender with acorn nuts on the outside of the struts. turn signal mount nuts are low profile, and there's about 8mm clearance from tire to belt. BUT, considering that the tire will probably swell a little when riding it's likely the 160 is IT

too bad the tread pattern looks like a damn dirt bike but I got the tire for $40 and the rubber's good. Next time around I'll get a newer tread pattern avon or dunlop or somethin.

Gonna get rid of the sidemount license and put either a low profile fatbob taillight or this weird lookin cateye style light I found

now If I can just get the wiring right!

Looks good. Im in the middle of squeezing a 180 in my 99, used a 20 mm pulley & belt. Its tight but fits, looks alot better than that damn 130.

a 180? with stock swingarm and fender and struts?

funny, but actually, a 180 would probably fit in the fender but without spacing the tranny sprocket out a little the belt would be out of line on mine, and I think the wider hub would probably make the rear pulley hit the swingarm

so that's all you did was a narrow belt?

is the 99 rear the same as a 94? It should be, right?

Interesting.

Stock swingarm but not fender, I did chop the frame horns and use a wider fender, but no trans or primary offsets. 20 mm belt and pulley. I also have an 18 x 5.5 rim. Little playing w/ spacers but it fits.
Little bit more too it than I might have initially implied, BUT the thing is it can be done and you dont need to spend a couple grand on kit w/ a new swingarm just to get up to 180. I got the info and wheels from HogPro they were real helpful.
