Neck bearing prelaod adjustment

I have a 07 Electraglide. Is the neck bearing preload adjustment the same as a 98? I still have the manual from my 98 but haven' picked up one for the 07. I plan on picking one up, but I want to try and get it done this weekend so I can get some riding in while it's warm.

I've tried the manual's method. Kind of a pain. Now I just go by feel. Hard to explain. Kinda like adjusting old style wheel bearings.

Somewhere on one of these forums, I read a torque spec for the neck bearings - but don't recall what it was.

IME after repeatedly horsing around with the fall-away method and still not getting rid of a slight wobble, I tried the torque spec and it worked fine.
