Finally sprung for some new wheels

I ordered the DNA Mammoth fat 52 spoke wheels from KC International. I went for the 21x3 and 18x3.5. I got my tires today and I expect my wheels before next weekend. Anyone have experience with these? I am told they are tubeless, thoughts on whether I need tubes or not?

i run tubeless in my 80 spoke ultimas. If they are sealed, you wont have any problems.

I'd never run tubeless on a spoked rim. 2 reasons.
1) I've seen too many 'sealed' rims spring a leaks. Especially during long rides. Usually due to centrifugal forces on sealant while the wheel is spinning, pulling the sealant out and causing it to leak. Had a buddy who's air pressure would be fine if in the garage for a couple days, but when on a ride would lose about 5psi about every 200 miles. Really annoying and really dangerous.

2) I had to replaced the stock rim on my ride after I hit a pot whole at 75mph on the highway. Hit it so hard I was shot out of my seat and the only thing attached to the bike were my hands on the handlebars. Luckily I was able to keep the bike upright and got it to the side of the road "safely". Serious pucker factor. Anyway, it dented the front rim so bad that i was able to stick my pinky finger in between the rim and the tire and was able to touch the tube inside. The tube was the only thing keeping the tire inflated. If I was running tubeless, the tire would have blown out and I would have gone down. No doubt about it.

Well this is interesting and I thought about this a lot and I think I am going to put tubes in the tires. What are the stock 40 spokes--tubed?

Yes, the stock spoked rims have a tube inside.
