I used Russell DOT brake lines. Made an error in judjment and bought the SS clutch cable from a different company & throttle/idle cables from another company...on sale. They all look and work great but the SS is slightly different color and I can see it. Which ever way you go stick with one manufacturer.

Motion Pro makes a great cable. I've used them for years on my off road bikes. They also offer a good line of specialty tools.

Very good stuff. It's also brighter than the others I've seen. Whatever brand you choose,
make sure it has an outer coating. The Sterling Chromite has a clear teflon coating to
keep the cable from scuffing paint and chrome.

You could probably saw your tank in half with raw braided stainless. LOL

Cables

I just bought Barnett braided stainless throttle and idle cables on eBayfor my Road King.

Hope I made the right decision.

I had all my cables switched to the HD Silver Braided Cables last November. Last Friday leaving for Delmarva Bike Week the Throttle Cable broke at the lead ball at the throttle. Lucky for me only a mile away from home I was able to limp back and find my old cables and change them. Took them to dealer when I got home and ordered new one's under warranty, since I had them installed within 60 days of buying bike warranty is 2 years.

Hi, I too am looking for the best cables. has anyone ever used spiegler lines? http://www.spieglerusa.com/cfm/brakelines.cfm I am looking for a special look. I have an 03 fatboy 100th anniversary. I like the chrome and gold look. So I want to find either gold lines with chrome fittings or Chrome/silver lines with gold fittings. So far no gold lines. Any suggestions??
