Question DUNLOP 502 Tires (Screaming Eagle Tires)

I'm looking for anyone who has dealt with the Dunlop 502 Tires, also known as the Screaming Eagle tires. I am assuming they are a softer compound than the stock Dunlop 401 that came on my '03 Night Train. I don't put a ton of mileage on my bike every year, in fact the tires on my bike are being replaced due to age only. So I have no problem if the 502 wears a little faster. Just looking for anyone who has used them, and looking for some pros or cons to them. Not interested in knowing if you think Dunlop's suck, and I'm not interested in knowing about other manufacturers that are better (no offense, just don't want this thread to be some great tire debate). JUST curious about the 502 tires. Thanks.

Not sure I have heard of the D502. I'll have to check it out.

what bike? what size? the 502 is probably a version of the 501, which is a more sporting tire... better grip, less wear...

Sorry for the lack of info in my original post. I have an '03 Night Train. I'm looking at replacing my 150/80/R16 Rear tire and my 21" Front tire. I have been very pleased with the stock Dunlop tires. HD advertises the Dunlop 502 as the screaming eagle tire. They talk about a better contact patch etc..... Basically I am trying to see who has had them and see if they are any good. They are still pretty cheap too. I just don't want to buy them and find out they only last 2,000 miles because they're some crazy soft compound......

can't help u with mileage numbers, but u won't be able to get a matching front tire... something to think about... alot of people like the Metzeler ME880's... and u can get matching front and rears, and u can get a 90/90x21 to get a little more rubber on the front and fill up the space to the fender...

aka Matt, I would have to say you are wrong. My Bike has the stock Dunlop D402F MH90-21....... Dunlop Does make the 502 for my front. It's the GT502F 80/90-21 to match the rear. So I can get the 502 for the front and rear..... see the links if you don't believe me.... I have seen in a lot of the posts about people having a lot of problems with the Metzeler's, especially the one made in Brazil.....
