What do you guys think??

Im itiching to put a 21 inch front wheel on my bagger, but its a pre 99 with the non sealed wheel bearings, so i was looking thru jireh today....they sell a 80 spoke 21 inch for a fxst for 199.00...which is about 450 cheaper than ive found for the actual application for my bike, The axle size is the same, so im thinking i can make my own spacers, what do you guys think, anyone else try this?

I wouldn't do it. Not all 21" rims are the same. You have to take the rim width into account. Stock FXST front rims are 2.15" wide. IMS, most baggers with 21" rims run wider rims then that. Not sure what that width would be though. Hope that helps.

Baggers usually use a 21 X 3.5" rim and then a 120/70-21 tire

The rim i was looking at was a 21 x 3.25 fat spoke wheel, i Just hate and wont pay the prices they want for a bagger wheel.

The hub width would probably be different, as well, so your brake rotor won't align with the caliper.
