'07 fork sliders

I just installed my front forks after having a local dealer install the chrome lowers for me. I noticed that the upper tubes are not centered in the dust caps on the upper edge of the chrome lower sliders. The bike is still on the lift and I have not ridden the bike yet. Will they center themselves after riding? Anyone seen this before?
