Rear wheel for 07 Train

I'm about to put a Forge-tec rear wheel on my 07 Night Train. I want to put the lowest profile tire on there as possible. I'm guessing the 18" wheel is the largest that I can go without screwing with it too much.

Has anyone made the swap? If so, what is the wheel size and tire size that I should end up with (18x8.5?)? I'm going to stay with the 200mm tire. Any tire recommendations? I only got 8k out of the stock dunlap, so that's a no go.

I'm looking on Hogpro for the purchase, is that the cheepest that I'm going to find the Forge-Tec Engage?

Recommendations for a rotor and pulley that somewhat match?

Question Coupla ?? to help you decide

Hey Harrison,

First, did you look up Contact Us on the Hog Pro website? Phone 818 886 6545 / mailto:hogpro@gmail.com
They may be able to suggest some durable rubber for the rear of your '08 NT. I know what ya mean about the rear OEM Dunlop...
replaced mine after the wear bar was showing at about 8K also.

And B, did you look at some of the NTs in the Gallery? #135 Black Indy Night Train in the Softail section looks real sweet with an 18 x 5.50 and Metzeler 200mm rear tire.

When you have it installed post the after pics on the forum.

Happy hunting,
Scrubs

Try www.wanaryd.com, talk to Colton Curtiss..excellent guy, they were cheaper than hogPro with the Forg-Tec Monarch's I haa quoted. Colton really knows his stuff, not to detract from Hogpro who are also experts in this arena. I simply prefer to go where my $$$ goes a little further...it's the Scottish in me :-)
