Does being a paid member of this site get us any discounts on Gieco insurance? What about non-paid members? Thanks...

What would you expect with all the TV ads they run. And they have to pay that lizard too...I wonder if he has his papers?

springer- will become famous soon enough
I had Geico for years and was happy with them. 3 years ago I bought a house and wanted all my insurance at one company. When I enquired about Geico home owners insurance, it was very difficult to get. Get this, you have to be less than 500 feet from a fire hydrant for their home owners insurance. My house is located between 2 fire hydrants that are 1000 feet apart. The person asked if I was less than 500 feet away and I said "I have to be, they are 1000 feet apart and I am in between them." I was told that I would have to measure it and prove I am less than 500 feet away. I said I was directly between them and my house is over 40 feet wide and therefor I was less than 500 feet from 2 hydrants. That wasn't good enough. So this is where it gets really good. I told them I live 1 house away from a Fire Station and had 2 fire trucks 200 feet from my house. Their responce was "I'm sorry but I don't think you qualify". HAHAHAHAHA It was too funny.

The only reason I switched was because I wanted all my insurance with one company, I have nothing bad to say about them in 15 years of auto and motorcycle coverage.

Springer....next time you buy a house..try to get one a bit closer to a fire hydrant...that way you'll get a better deal on insurance.
