What kind of wave????
O.K. here goes....I've been riding my R.K. for about a year now. I know the dabate....wave at a "brother" on a scooter or not. But---my question is....what type of wave? Does a wave have a message with it...For instance....when I wave at another cyclist, I just wave. It isn't cool...it's just a wave. I have others wave at me with a hands low, as if we're gonna "low five" as we pass....some with a hands held straight out...as if we're going to jam knuckles together when we pass....and there are those that just point to the ground as they pass...Anyway, if I'm gonna be cool, I must at least know the symbolism for each kind of wave in order that I can send a message back...I even honked the horn before I thought the other day and I thought..."Oh GOD, I may be the antichrist of uncool". Any help will be greatly appreciated.

That My Friend Is Funny, Honkin The Horn! I Always Put My Hand Low Or Point Down. Gonna Ride Straight To Hell Is What I Say Brother. If Any Of It Means Anything, I Don't Know. I Know I Don't Wave Or Acknowledge The Crotch Rocket Kids, Though. I Got A T-shirt That On The Back It Says"crotch Rockets Are For Queers" Or Somethin. I Will Take A Pic And Post It.
i started a new thread for the shirt, couldn't remember where i posted this reply.

If you take your hands off the bars to wave at someone you don't know, that only says one thing to me ..... nevermind, that will just get me into to a fight.

I recommend the "beauty queen wave" that you see in all the parades ....

Are you seriously asking this question? This has got to be a joke right? Who cares how you wave or if you wave.
Just cause somebody is riding a Harley doesn't make him my "brother".
Go down to the local HD dealer pull out the CC and buy another T-shirt.
Sorry, one too many beers in me...but for christ's sake are you serious with this question?? Let me guess, your next question is gonna be what color helmet should I buy.

Mine's always a low two finger horizontal peace symbol/sign. I don't think about it, it just happens. Something about when you pull your hand off the grip and extend it to the left the tendons pull your pinky, ring and thumb inward. Your index and middle finger curve slightly, but the wind flips this out causing this "peace symbol".
Uhh.. Dude, just wave however you want to. I don't think anyone analyzes your wave. They forget about you waving 3 seconds later.

If the above just doesn't bring it into sharp focus for you, perhaps you could rent The Princess Diaries. There is a very good tutorial toward the middle of the film, IIRC.
Before anybody starts any crap, I've got teenage daughters and I'm a good dad, so I go to the theater with them and watch this drivel, mostly to , but sometimes to look at Lindsay Lohan's .
She's legal now, so piss off.
