Serious Question, need help!
I have a wonderful daughter. She's 15 and on the honor roll. She participates in a bunch of school activities and does well in everything she attempts. But here is the problem.
This weekend the daughter and I was kicking back sharing a case of beer like we do every Saturday and she mentioned she would like to get her belly button pierced.
Now try to understand. I try to be a cool parent. I didn't object to the tattoo a couple of years ago but this belly button piercing just doesn't seem appropriate. Not at 15!!
Well we both had probably a few too many beers and got into a big fight over this. She hasn't spoken to me in over 48 hours. I'm afraid we are drifting apart. So I ask for your advice. You are all my friends so I value your opinion.
Should I let her get her belly button pierced?

" Just say NO "
Let me get this straight you got her a tatto,She is 15 now so a couple of years a go she was 13 when she got her tatoo .
You and your 15 year daughter need some help. I think that 15 is a little young for drinking beer every Saturday. Wondering what does Mom think of you and the Daughter sipping on beer ?
You need some serouis help.

I'm not going to call that number. She's not abusing me. She's ignoring me.

You got to be kidding man what kind of parent are you??? Drinking with a 15 year old on Saturday everyone knows that isn't right!! You need to change the drinking to Sunday and get some better beer or add some Jack!
As far as the piercing, "Just Say No!" Also keep your socks on!!

I would try to put it off for a little while by telling her if she stays on the honor roll for a set amount of time or something... But try to patch things up and then after a few drinks she might be more understanding of your concerns. She has to learn that being a parent isnt always easy!!! Is her Mom still mad at you for flipping her the bird and driving off the other day if so it must be uncomfortable in the house this week.

Iguess it depends how responsible she is as well as age.my daughter was 18 and she had gotten a very bad infection from her belly piercing.she had to have it removed.but personally for me 18 is a good age. just my 2 cents

I think you need to lead by example. Get your own piercing & show it off to all of her friends. Than they will really know how cool a dad you are.

Yeah, pierce your johnson and show it to all her friends. That will teach her. Maybe you could hide it in a sock and have an unvieling?

Smokey, if you take twincamzz's suggestion choose your piercing location wisely. http://members.cox.net/smileyz/whistling.gif
