07 Victories

Would anyone happen to know when the 07 models are to be released? Any rumors regarding new models?

I think it's later this week or early next... can't remember. Don't hold your breath for anything exciting however. Lately, Vic's "all new models" amount to wide tire conversions and fancy paint... OOooooooooo.... aaaaaahhhhhhhh. Yeay! Another Vegas!

I'm betting we see a naked sport bike and a smaller displacement (a'la KTM aquisition) starter bike. More Ness-esque bling and <yawn> blah-blah-blah-factory "custom" marketing BS.

If they do, I bet it will be one cool bike. I heard a rumor that one of the Ness's said "it would blow everybody away" .

If Victory comes out with a full bagger.....watch out. I presume it will be with the 100' Freedom Motor and load of goodies. Can't wait to see them if it happens this year. I think victory is doing well.........and it gives the consumer a better choice of what to buy. How does it get any better than this.....than looking at 2 American Companies that sell American Motorcycles.

For one.....I'm glad that Harley came out with the 6spds and the bigger motor.......competition is good. Just reading these comments on this board though I know a lot of people are gonna get riped in the #$% in buying those 07's. I can't imagine the rip offs that some of these dealers are gonna make on some of these posers. Hoo well......some gotta pay the piper.

Lots of people are mentioning MSRP on the 07's already bought. There will be some that get stuck but since they are making a sh|tload more bikes now - i.e. driving used & new prices down - $2-$5K over MSRP will be a not-so-fond memory.

Time for some people to get good deals on remaining '06 models.

Probably 2008. And those saddlebags and touring bag on the Kingpin will not hold enough stuff for a trip longer than a couple of days, even less if you're taking a woman.

Some of the colors are kind of blah. But at least they didn't do a 'Blue Denim'.

I love my 03 Classic, it's an effingtastic bike but Vic is going to lose me soon. The 2004, err, 2005, umm, 2006... err, umm I mean the 2007 line is so weak I swear I'd seen it before . The concept drawings are sad, the one looks like Grandpa Munster had a line in the design... More marketing cool-aid to appease the "factory custom" delusion...

The Street Glide calls my name but the Beemer is also really tempting too... Not like I've had anytime to ride or $$$ to get my classic back on the road latley anyhow. Eagerly awaiting Victory doing something more that resting on the 2003 Vegas laurels ....

Update: I stand corrected on this as far as 2 H-D dealers go.

Went into H-D of Clayton County and they have a leftover '06 Screaming Eagle Ultra Classic for $35K. Let's see... '07 models list for $34K and have 110" engine. They are charging $1500 over MSRP for all bikes salesman said. Told guy I would continue riding what I have.

Went into H-D of Atlanta a couple of weeks back and they also have a '06 Screaming Eagle Ultra Classic for $38K.... I thought I misunderstood and called back a day later and that was price.
