Attitudes

All us Victory folks Dislike the attitude that some of the less secure HD guys have toward any motorcycle except the HD.
I am seeing and hearing a lot of the same BS from Vic guys.
The HD company is a master at marketing, they have had ups and downs over the years. Victory is a new company and has had ups and downs also.
I hear a good number of die hard HD fans that say they are impressed with the Vic, Vic has won a few over and now a lot of Vic owners are EX Hd floks.
Any goodwill that is garnered by our motorcycles is lost by The new Vic attitude.

The majority of comments coming from HD guys is favorable and the majorty of comments from vic drivers is that they are superior.

Can't we all just respect each others choice.

Trent, you have to learn to ignore these people. An a**hoe is a a**hole. It doesn't matter what motorcycle they are riding. Most attitudes are attributed to HD riders. I suppose because there are more HD's on the road then any other motorcycle. I ride an Ultra but ride with Hondas, Yamahas, Suzukis, etc. I just don't care what they ride and they don't give a hoot what I ride. I have a couple of specific reasons why I ride a Harley now, but may ride something different in the future. I happen to think that the big Suzuki cruisers are the best value in the industry. Ignore the a**holes and enjoy what you ride.

I only bought a Harley because I thought it would compensate for my little pee pee.

Well said. I am an H-D guy but have ridden F8L's trick Classic Cruiser and Kingpin, and watched Lloyd dyno some built 100 inchers, and know that the H-D's have their strengths and the Vics have their strengths. I for one am glad to have another solid American V-Twin on the roads. Makes my brand better for the competition. But at the end of the day for me, it's about the riding and not the metal yer sittin' on. I have heard others saying that the new bikes like the Jackpot are bringing in a new breed of Vic owners. But Vics will be around long after those posers switch to the new thing. The hardcore Vic riders are like the long time H-D guys: bikers.

The sarcasim was not lost on me.

I have both brands of bikes. It is funny how people react to which one I am riding at the time. The funny part being that nobody really gives me any tude no matter which one I'm riding. Truthfully, I find not many people have ever heard of Victory motorcycles.

I like them both for different reasons. Do I like one more than the other. That's like asking which of your kids is your favorite.

I've encountered some surprisingly azzholish attitudes on the part of metric riders, as well as some real "trailblazers" on HDs. Whatcha gonna do? Ride safely.

20538 will become famous soon enough
Welcome to the forum. I agree on the I'm better than you attitude that's out there and I beleive many times it started when they bought the bike. maybe too many biker movies that have been watched. just last weekend I went for a ride, stopped at a gas station to get some fluids for me. there were 5 or 6 HDs there with the riders outside. I had a Redwings T-shirt and sneakers on and they wouldn't even say hello. If would of had the black HD T-shirt on with boots and maybe a leather vest as they were wearing I'm sure it would of been different. It was 91 degrees and some were wearing leather vests. anyway attitudes are plentifull regardless of which brand of bike you have. I like the Vics they look and from what I've read are great bikes.

I have nothing against Vics or people that ride them. I think they make a fine machine. I test rode a Vegas a few years back with Stage I and that thing had some power. And it had a nice growl too.

There are always going to be those die-hards that think the only bike is a Harley. Hell I got attitudes and dirty looks from Harley riders when I bought a VTX1800 a few years ago. And I had just come off a Harley. That's OK becase I couldn't hear or see them because by the time they could say anything they were just a speck in my rearview mirror.

At the end of the day 90% of bikers don't care what you ride. Coming back to Yakima from Seattle today we stopped in Noth Bend to get something to eat. A group of Bandittos (sp) were stopped also. When they all left one of them got on a Gold Wing. First time I ever saw that but it just goes to show you, ride what floats your boat and mostly nobody cares.

I wear a vest while riding when it's 105. The main reason being it keeps your shirt from flapping all over the place and it has pockets to put stuff.
