Victory Motorcycles
One of my riding buddies picked up a 2012 Victory Jackpot two days ago. He paid 14K for the bike (includes an exhaust upgrade). I met him at the dealer ship and we did some riding. My opinion is that he got taken! The bike has a lot of light weight components. They start with the brake discs and include the plastic belt guard and headlight. The 106 ci engine seemed timid compared to the HD. Almost could not hear it running.
Personally, If I was not buying a HD, I would rather have a Honda Interceptor or Hayabusa for that kind of money.

I will take my 04 Vic over ANY Twinkie HD.MOre power, better ride and better handling for a lot less cash. Now it still wont let the old Shovelhead sit too long at a time.It is just plain most fun bike in the world to ride.

Being a Harley guy , I thought the same thing , always had a HD sittin' in the shed and still have ................. until I bought a new Victory ...........after a short time my views certainly changed ........the underengineering of the HD is soon evident to the point of me having just purchased my second Victory ...a CrossRoads
I love the look of all Harley's , but I love the technology an engineering better
..........your friend paying 14K seems like a lottery win compared to us in Australia paying 30K plus for a Jackpot
cheers

I'm gonna call BS on this story. First of all, that is NOT a Victory Jackpot. Secondly, the base MSRP on a 2012 Jackpot is $18,500.
I think the OP is confused...

Yes this dude is spewing sH*t However some Black JP can be had for a good deal
I have a 2011 JP and it runs away from any HD in sight and I own HD s as wekk, so I am not totally biased for my JP, BUT I do like it a LOT

I would say... If you don't like Victory motorcycles, don't buy one.

The Vic dealer here still has 2010s and 2011s on the floor and they are making some deals to move them out.
I rode several on test rides and didn't like the handling. Nice power, good prices but just wasn't for me.
Guess that's why they make more than one Motorcycle.

They had a burnout contest at a recent rally. The rear fender on the Victory melted.........PLASTIC. (Didn't look like an aftermarket fender either)

Mine isn't plastic.
Pretty cool though doing a burnout until you melt the fender.
