Cam & Pipes

Hello , my brother has a 2007 Kingpin that had a set of twin pipes on it& S&S airbox . He just had a dealer install Loyd's cams and a 2 into 1 pipe on it . The bike is flat on the bottom end badly ! In fact even in 5th if he pins it , it is flat at the start . Any idea's ........??? Thinking it is either needs some sort of download or they put one of the cams out 360 degree's ..?

Any help would be great .

The 2 to 1 is a Bassani I am pretty sure. The bike will absolutely need to be re-mapped and dyno'd. Once it is hooked up he will be gettting numbers in the area of 110 HP and 120 #tq.

Also the 2007 with the closed loop ignition is another reason that he really needs to talk to Lloyd. Tell your brother to call him. Lloyd himeself will answer the phone.

Wait her I have his number somewhere...I will post it when I find it.

While we wait...here is a pic of Lloyd spinning my bike.

$500 fo a dyno tune, throttle body cleaning and an intake put my '06 kingpin to just under 100hp and 100#tq.

get a fuel management system such as the power commander... must be done especially if the cams were changed - could very well break his scoot if he rides it !

OK , he got a P.C. 111 , and got it dynoed up . 106 hp & 106 TQ , goes really good on top end , but still has pipe lag on the bottom end . Is it possable he needs a different baffle in the 2 into 1 pipe to get rid of most of the bottom end lag . Supposedly Victory's are known do have some lag until the RPM's get over 3400 .

Any help would be great .

It depends on which cams he had installed. Lloyd has cams for better low end but it sounds like your brother has the top end cams.

Something is off. How was his bike running BEFORE the cam install?

With Lloyds cams the bike should be much more responsive down low.

Are the cams set right?

Agree with Diamond, something not right. I have a '08 Vision and bottom is great with a Lloyds VFC III fuel controller and pipes. Someone needs to do a cold cranking comp check, make sure throttle is held wide open during test, and make sure numbers are right. I do not suspect engine is worn but time to cover all bases and the numbers could be compared to what is normal with the cam that you say is in the bike. If the numbers are good the only way to go is tuning. Lloyd sells the 2-1 Bassani so he should be familiar with results to suspect. Vics are not weak on the bottom from the factory.
