While I'm a fan of the Victory and I think they make a good bike, those new touring models are ugly IMHO.

If you like the look of a full-sized scooter, then they nailed it. Ugly is being kind to the Vision Tour.

Presenting the new Victory Fail model.
There is a lot of potential in those motorcycles. It's a shame the the VicCo can't see it.
Cheap hand controls, radio controls that look like an after thought, so they purchased the cheapest they could find, from Bulgaria.
I keep waiting for them to get it right...........

See the thing is they have to get Ness to make their bike look good. Harleys look good with smo's like us customizing them! (no offense all you upperclass smo's) Seriously, I dont own any true HD's, and never will, BUT the Vickie's are UGLY. Just my .02

Ness did NOT design these bikes. He designed the paint scheme on the Ness bikes. Thats it.

My non Ness Jackpot looks got damn good the way I customized it.

Sorta like my old Lambretta 125 on steroids. Think I'll keep my RK.

I THINKthese new touring bikes look great.
Look, most harley guys will never admit to likeing these new vics.
Iknow as i am a harley and victory guy.
Ithink anyone being honest has to admit the two new offerings from vic blow away their harley counterparts.
the looks the power of the 106 freedom vtwin all you have to do to these bikes is add an aftermarket loud exhaust and their all set to go.
a harley on the other hand, get ready to spend 3500 to 4000 more on a big bore kit 360 for a screaming eagle race tuner, and 6-700 on an aftermarket exhaust and a few hundred on an intake and you still wont make the power these victories do stock.
I think victory hit a home run with these new touring bikes.
I personally like both harley and victory and i hope to have one of each sitting in my garage shortly.
But i must tell you one of the big things i like about victory is they run much cooler than the harleys do.
MY buddies and myself went to laconia bike week and as we were heading into the weares we got held up in traffic.
All my harley friends bikes temps went over 300,degrees and they had to shut their bikes down.
My victory never went over 215 degrees,my cousin had just completed a rebuild of his fatboys twin cam 88 motor to a 103 screaming eagle kit heads and all.
after it getting that hot it now makes all sort of knocking noises and he is in the process of breaking the motor back down.
this is one of the main reasons i went to victory,1 they run alot cooler and 2 you dont have to add a big bore kit to give it power, victory already did it for you.

Like I said, I will wait until the VicCo gets it right. I like the powertrain.
The the sharp edges and pointyness of the lines is a big turn off for most. Kinda like electric guitars with pointy hocky stick headstocks.
Great for guitar wanking by 13 yo boys but thats about it.
Hand and foot controls. Kind of an after thought. Honda has the same problem with the Goldwing. Nice bike, cheap afterthought hand controls.
C'mon Victory, give us a motorcycle without all the lame ass 1990's tail dragger fenders, decent hand and foot controls, lights and turnsignals that don't look like they came off a dual sport bike.
Come out with a traditionally styled big twin and I am sure it will be a winner.

I like scooters but I don't want my touring bike to look like one.

Geez - a lot of negativity about the new Vics!.
I ride a 2007 Road Glide. The bike has been a pain since day 1 and the service I've rec'd from 4 different HD dealers has been mostly crap! It is not well built and the service matches the build quality. I think the new Victory Touring bikes look pretty cool. I'll be looking at them very seriously. This is one Harley rider just itchin' to find a great Harley alternative! The Cross Country looks great!
