Funny thing is that is my response to the, same old thing, boring HD baggers that look like the HD baggers from 20 years ago. LOL

I've never understood the whole "its not a Harley thing". What does that mean? What difference does it make?
For me personally its what I like not what everyone else likes or what the cool thing is to buy or be a part of.
I'm glad I'm not of that mentality or else I would be stuck with a softtail that would have cost me at least 15k more to make it look and perform like my Victory.

It's what's kept Harley Davidson unique in the industry, what the others can't have no matter the lower prices or "innovation". It's CORE CUSTOMER loyalty, and a huge number of them reside here on this site. You expected?

Hmmm I wonder why Polaris picked a V-Twin platform, maybe it was so they wouldnt be immitating Harley..lol.. Maybe thats also why all of the Japanese imports try to look like Victory, and all this time I thought they were copying Harley. Shame on me!!!

Victorys, look like Indians with a really bad hangover.
To each his own.

Harley is much like Chevrolet, you can usually count on something that appeals, Victory is improving and understandably dosen't want to copy HD exactly, but emough so some people will think they have an actual competitor as good as a Harley. and to them it is, to dyed in the wool HD fans, they are not.
IMHO Victory is becoming an alternative, they have a nice engine and tranny, however, they need to tone down those circus paint jobs, damn those are loud.
I will admit here, I would like a Jackpot, but not for 24k

I just went to their web site and looked at the new models.
I really like the crosscountry and the vision 8ball!
i played around with the build and quote feature on there web site.
I added chrome bumpers and the passenger backrest w/luggage rack, and i must say it really makes the cross country look good, real good!
i build mine with the bike black, paint color.

I like the variety Victory is putting out. Dual discs with hard bags. Good stuff. 106 engine with more torque. MMM....MMMMM......MMMMM. I like Harley's. I think it is great to have the good points of Harley's incorporated with the bullet proof Victory powerplant. Great power and variety. It's the spice of life.

Nice look, I don't care for the Skull Paint job.
Harley is going to be in trouble with new riders coming up. Most of us who ride Harleys now, have grown up with them. And relate to an image they had 20 plus years ago. I don't know this, but I bet the majority of HD riders are 40-60. The image kids have growing up now is different then the one we had coming up. Image now "Old Guy on a bike". I know there are younger guys buying and Riding Harleys, I'm talking majority.
Polaris makes a bike with style and power that appeals to younger riders. Without the nostagia and image factor, Harley will be in trouble tens years down the road. The "It's not Harley" defense is not going to have the same meaning then as now.
Competition is Good
