S@S Air Cleaner

For anyone running the Victories the S@S air cleaner coupled with a free flowing exhaust sure wakes up this motor. S@S recommends their MAP however I run the Victory Stage 1 slipon MAP and bike runs great. Good idle, crisp throttle response all the way to redline, no popping on decel and sure cleans up the area behind the steering head.

You know I contacted S@S directly. Their tech guy says that the 2 maps are "very similar" and if my bike is running good with the Victory stage 1 map leave it alone. So......that is what I am going to do.

Sometimes dealers refer to the 05 Hammer download as the Stage 1. If you are running the 05 Hammer Drag pipe map 54-0121 then that is the BEST download.
The other map which some dealers confuse with 54-0121 is the 2005 Hammer 100CI S&S Air Cleaner/STAGE I Drag System 54-0120.

I don't know what download I have. The bike is a 09 Kingpin Tour with the slipon exhaust. It runs so good now that will probably leave well enough alone.

Yes my first Victory. 2009 and I am having a blast riding it. A buddy of mine and I rode on a 4 day trip through Missoula Montana, Riggins Idaho using Highway 12(fantastic ride if you get the chance), Coeur Dalene Idaho and then home to Calgary Alberta. 92 degree heat. Bike ran fantastic with no preignition problems like my old bike. We would go to pass a lineup of slower vehicles and I just blew by them all. The acceleration of this machine sure is fun. Easy to clean up after a day of riding. No oil consumption issues. Just an all around great ride. Life is good. Heading down to Fort Benton Montana tomorrow for 4 days of riding and snooping around that neck of the woods. Looking forward to it.
