Bought a Vision, so long HD
After telling every one that would listen that the Vision is one ugly plastic looking bike for over a year, I bought one.
Was at a motorcycle show yesterday, the dealer had an 08 Vision Tour Premium, grey, not assembled, dropped almost 5 G's off the price, Ride free for a year ( one year no interest or payments ) plus the 5 yr unlimited mileage warranty. How could I say no?
The biggest seller was the leg room, I'm 6'4", and have spent hundreds if not thousands on my last 2 Harley's trying to get the leg room. This thing I can stretch out a mile without dropping a cent.
On that note, what goodies should I look at buying, I'm keeping the exhaust stock as I don't like the noise, I do long tours.
brian.....it's going to be a long 3 mths before I see bare roads.

The looks are, well, they are what they are. The comfort is a bonus.
Accessories? Ride it awhile and then decide if it really needs anything. It already stands out in the crowd.

I hear ya,aside from the looks it seems like a winner...maybe you wont even need mods and that would be a bigger bonus.

Man, I don't know. A free ride for a year, 5,000 off (first years depreciation), no payments for a year, no interest for a year, free 5 year warranty, no 5,000 bucks and RP cylinder replacements to get it to run better, cooler, or get 100hp...
It's starting to look better and better.
I heard you can take the trunk off. Is that true? If it is, can you put on a back rest for the passenger?

Yes you can remove it, something like 8 bolts holding it on, and there is a passenger back rest available. There is also a leather seat option with rider backrest, that the passenger backrest can be purchased if the trunk is removed

Curious, why do you say that? I do admit the HD has a better fit and finish as well as a great dealer network

Good luck and enjoy your bike. IMHO $5000 depreciation is just the start. There will be a limited group to market that bike to and the resale (again my opinion) will be poor at best. This economy isn't helping one bit.
You bought it for comfort and leg room. Get out and ride the wheels off that thing.

Congrats on the bike. I know a few people that have them and the only thing they spent money on was more power and not cause it needed it. For a lot more info about Visions, check out the Victory Motorcycle Club.
Unless HD changed this bullshit with crappy cranks, they will loose me too.
