200,000 miles on a Victory

Just got an e-mail from one of my dealers, Tim Werder (roadkill) from new york. He just went over 200,000 butt miles on his Victory. He was the first to do 100,000 miles on a Victory a few years back and now is the first to hit the 200,000 mark. This was done using my favorite oil of course and no engine work or problems. This is certainly a good testament to a good machine. Some of you may have heard of him as they did several magazine articles on him when he hit the 100,000 mile mark. He is the president of ABATE for the state of new york also.

Bombadier makes good reliable engines; they have for years.
Victory bikes; though a bit on the ugly side have always been reliable scoots.
I remember back in my early MX days, CanAM building solid MX bikes that almost never broke.
A little heavy but very reliable.
Any decent oil changed regularly in a Victory will generate that kind of reliable mileage also.

I'm not sure why you mention Bombardier in response to a Victory post. Bombardier has nothing to do with Victory, or vice versa. Victory designs and manufactures their own engines. Victory is a subsidiary of Polaris, an American company, whereas Bombardier is a completely separate company (and one time competitor to Polaris' snowmobiles) HQ'd in Canada.

Based on what if this is the first guy to clock 200,000 on one.

200,000 with no problems is very impressive. On or in anything

20 K on a Harley TC 99-06 with no motor work could result in big problems.

That's some pretty serious mileage. Sounds like those Vics are some solid, reliable, mostly ugly bikes.

RoadKill is well known around the Vic community, he is a real standup guy, a true biker in every sense of the word.

Victories are good bikes, I had one for 6 years, the dealer support however is not as good as the bikes. My old Vic was a 1999, the early bikes had transmission issues, once repaired they ran great.

I personally cannot see myself ever ridding 200K miles, Kudos to RoadKill for his achievement,

There is 100,000 mile Victory also.

A female Victory rider has a 05 Kingpin she bought on Dec 3, 2005. She hit 100,000 miles on November 14, 2008.

3 years 100,000 miles and never a problem.

THAT is a lot of miles in 3 years.

"...those Vics are some solid, reliable, mostly ugly bikes."

They sure are!

The first two descriptors are facts. The third is opinion.

I don't put on 33,000 miles a year on all four of my vehicles combined. Guess I need to get out more?
