How Do You Describe the Exhilaration of Riding?

In the current installment of The Gadget Guru Vision Blog, I attempted to address a common question that many of us have received, but have difficulty answering. Why do you ride a bike? What does it feel like?

I'm sure we all know there is no simple answer. But today, I made my best attempt to probe deep into my mind to describe a feeling that we as riders know too well, but cannot explain to others.

This story starts in one direction, then gets to the point. Please be patient and take a read. Like my other posts, it's written in blog/diary style and as always I welcome all comments.

My question to you is: Is my description accurate? You be the judge.

To save you from scrolling to through my never ending story, here's the link directly to this post:

Please post comments here.

Thanks,

Andy (and Slick)

What does it feel like?

My best answer is that it feels like it's got to be illegal, like participating in a cross town crime spree. There's lots of noise - people sneer at me - head snapping low end torque - it's too much fun to be legal . . . That's on the HD. On the ricer I feel like I'm the wind, not like I'm in the wind, I am the fukin' wind.

It makes me feel 20 years younger. At 58 that's not a bad feeling.
