2007 Victory Vision
For all the touring nuts here is another V-Twin that will be added to the touring line up this year from Victory.
I dub it the BarleyWing since it draws from the BMW, Harley, and Honda GoldWing.

I saw it just last weekend. It looks much better in person. The guy riding in the pictures must be kind of small, as it doesn't look that big in real life. The grab handles in back are pretty ugly. Not only do they make the back end look scooterish, but one out of three people would kick them swinging their leg over when sitting on it. Somebody must like them, as there is a two year waiting list already.

Hey - whatever trips your trigger.
The bigger question is; "Will you wave at it?"

They had one on display at the Cleveland International Motorcycle show. It drew a lot of attention. I sat on it. It didn't do much for me, but after reading the article in this month's "Rider" mag. (I think it was this mag., I get too many) the bike is starting to grow on me....very slowly. I think I need to hear it run. If has the solid V-twin sound and feel.....it might grow on me some more.....but not enough to get rid of the Ultra.

I have a victory hammer with the 100 cu. in./6 speed platform. So far, it is responsive, comfortable, safe, and reliable. Maintenance is easy for the rider to perform.
As far as looks (if you know anything about Arlen Ness and his past accomplishments in the custom world, including using a lot Harleys), it appears at first unusual or out of the norm, but can grow on you.
Looks are usually an individual's perspective anyway and should remain that way. Get past the look and it is important for the bike too be mechanically sound, comfortable, and safe to handle. I believe the Vision will accomplish that goal, based on my personal experience, so far.
I was over whelmed by the design at first. But it is a start for Victory, and I am sure, not the final destination for their bagger line.
Off topic, I like the new Sportster/Nightster which shows that HD can do some custom features as stock.
My point, is that new blood is not always the best, but it sure does stir up everything for the rest of us.

Down in Daytona a few days ago, I Saw the vision at the victory trailer on main street. Sounds like a Gold wing when started and running. Very different up close when u look at it. Instrument cluster is different and catches the eye. Some different switches for the controls. Futuristic looking indeed. Handlebars turn but fairing does not, just like the Wing.

I saw it in Laughlin Last week.
I saw it at Laughlin this last week at the Victory dealer trailer. I got to see the storage and how it sits. It sits like a Gold Wing if you don't look down or around behind you. The storage is small in the saddlebags. You would think that with all of the area the outside takes, it would be bigger. The Tour Pack is bigger than the Gold Wing, but is a strange arrow shape. Not square. I hoped the Touring model would be a good long distance tourer, not some "Future bike." Maybe next time.
I will stick with my Ultra.
