Been there, done that.

Great riding country. Nice hills and turns. The roads were well maintained. Light traffic.

Marlinton is a nice town to stay in with a few restaurants. Met Ms. Pocahontas County. She was nice. A ski resort has a restaurant on top of a mountain with great views. Good for lunch.

Great pictures! This is an awesome place to travel. The mountains are beautiful and the roads twisting

I have ridden a lot in the Sugar Grove/Brandy Wine area in the Eastern Panhadle and it is spectacular. Scenery is amazing and the George Washington Nation Forest and Seneca Rocks is very nice as well.

I just received the Motorcycle Touring pamphlet and magazine from Pocahontas County the other day. Read thru it once and called my riding buddies and said "we have a place for a ride". It looks fantastic!

If you have the time, I recommend staying at Watoga State Park in a cabin for a week and taking day trips each day to include Cass Scenic Railroad, Nat-Radio Astronomy Observatory, Snowshoe Resort, and Highland Scenic Highway.
For shorter trips, the Marlinton Motor Inn would be a good choice.
