Springsteen to Play at Harley's 105th

Harley-Davidson announced recently that Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will be one of many well-known legendary bands and performers to take the stage at Harley's 105th anniversary celebration Aug. 29-30, 2008 at the Summerfest grounds in Milwaukee, WI.

"Our 105th Anniversary entertainment line-up is second to none and really epitomizes the diversity of the Harley-Davidson family and experiences," said Joanne Bischmann, vice president, Licensing and Special Events. "We're very excited to welcome home our extended family to Milwaukee as we celebrate the future of Harley-Davidson."

It's a massive celebration this year for all things Harley, or Harley related. In addition to the 105th year of business for the company, the well-known Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) will be celebrating its 25th anniversary. On Aug. 28, the day before the big blow out for Harley begins, a concert featuring rock legend Aerosmith and Detroit native Kid Rock will be the exclusive domain of H.O.G. members. Only H.O.G. members have the opportunity to purchase tickets to the concert, which go on sale March 12, 2008

Bruce Springsteen at a HD event? You mean the same Springsteen that has badmouthed the President of the US, our troops and their effort in Iraq, that Springsteen?

I won't be there. No way would I attend an event by someone that has used his concerts to preach against our country. I can't believe the Motor Company would put someone with his distasteful politics in front a crowd as patriotic as HD riders.

Springsteen

Bruce is as American as George Bush, Johnny Cash, Benjamin Franklin and George Washington. He represents the feelings of many of us and portrays American life in all it's grandure. This is a country of free speech and the ability to express one's own feelings while living is a society that coexists in relative peace. I dig my Harley, love my family and spent 4 years in the Vietnam era military. There are usually two sides to every story, by the way, I'd love to see Springsteen in concert.
