Avatar problems, READ THIS

This is a V-Twin motorcycle related website and NOT a porn site. If your avatar belongs on a porn site, it doesn't belong in your Avatar!

Heres the problem, there are many members that would like to be able to read technical threads at their work, office or at home in front of their wife, kids, parents, coworkers and bosses. As the avatars have become more and more racy, people are shying away from reading them in common areas. I know I have to be careful where I am reading threads for this very reason. These are technical threads, not threads in the EAYOR forum that I can choose to avoid.

Racy avatar will be removed. We have a forum called EAYOR. It allows you to post all the pics you want then anyone that WANTS to look at them can.

If for some reason you are not sure if yours is a problem, here is a rule of thumb before you post asking about an avatar, assume the answer is YES it needs to be changed.

Thanks for everyones cooperation on this matter.

Avatars

I have to say that I have yet to see any that I would consider way over the line and if contol of the non-paying users is what you would like to do then go for it. But as for those that are paying to use this site then well I guess it is up to them to decide what avatar's they want to use and enjoy....no matter what it is. And yes I do read and enjoy this site at my work that has 24/7 eyes watching the content and havent had a nasty phone call yet.

Freedom what a concept................

I would go back and read Springer's post again. He is asking for our help. It should be a word to the wise. There's a limit to what you can put on an avatar whether you pay or not. I've seen a few that are over the line. Take a look at some of them.

My 2 cents.

I don't think someone who is a sponsor has any right to say anything regarding another person's avatar. I am a paying member and he took mine off. I pay, yet I cannot use my avatar. He pays but should have the same rights as me...none. Noone even mentioned it to me. Besides, I emailed his shop three times before I got a response and he is probably pissed about the email I sent his shop. You cannot do business as sloppy as that. You have to respond in a timely manner or people are going to get a bad opinion about you.

If he has a problem with me then let him email me. I have no freaking problem discussing it PERSONALLY with him!!
